"For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you; that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for
you; do this in remembrance of Me.' In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.' " (1 Cor. 11:23-25)
When was the last time you partook of the Lord's Supper, friends? The Lord had me partake upon the inauguration of this Glory Shield website. I was honored and glad to do it, just He and I. Holy Spirit often puts it upon the heart of my Pastor to gather our fellowship together for it. He revealed to us that, upon new beginnings in our lives, we will be asked to partake of His communion table for our restoration and cleansing.
Repentance and forgiveness are necessary for such undertaking, and our God is Faithful to accept all contrite hearts.
You don't especially need to be within church doors to partake of His Supper,
friends. As His Spirit leads and directs the condition of your hearts before Him, you can enter in to remembrance of Him through commemoration of His last supper at any time, at any place. God will hear, honor, and receive all petitions lifted to His Throne Room in sincerity and purity, and Jesus Himself will impart blessing to our hearts as we proclaim our agreement with His Blood sacrifice.
"For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes." (1 Cor. 11:26)
