"... we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our certain good, that we may be partakers of His holiness."
Determine to embrace the reality that whatever God does is for our CERTAIN GOOD.
God’s plan for us is affected without guesswork; He does not do what He thinks is best for us (as earthly fathers), but acts as One Who Sees the End from the Beginning, already aware of the fruit His Plans will bear in our lives when we trust Him.
Choosing to yield to GOD’S DEFINITION of truth cultivates our trust in Him because He is eternally faithful to all aspects of His character. (2 Tim. 2:13).
God can be trusted to tenderly receive “the uglies” of our character. He will not condemn us for confessing these flaws, but will gratefully and faithfully forgive and cleanse us of them (1 John 1:9), ever forwarding our transformation to the image of Christ.
**However, refusing to humbly submit to God’s desire for our character transformation through receiving conviction, repentance, deliverance, cleansing, and infilling sentences one to a life-long cycle of bondage to sin, self-deception and misery!**
Friends, please believe that our righteous, tenderhearted God is - above all things - FAITHFUL. He will never let you down, and He knows exactly what will bring blessing to our coffers in every situation, always. It's true. Yielding to His plan, will, and destiny for your life is the best decision you'll ever make. Be blessed.
