"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says..."
God bless you.
"Bless the Lord, O, my soul and all that is within me; bless His Holy Name."
This is one of my favorite Psalms. I consider it one describing my life, because I feel this way about the Lord. With all of my heart, I bless His Name.
I relish the way God's truths blend with the cadence of our personal lives. For instance, I am thrilled that we as humans can bless the Lord and are even commanded to bless Him. Think about that... we who are dust can actually bless the Lord! HALLELUJAH!
God is benefited and 'increased' in countenance by our blessings, Saints - did you know that? When you think of it, that's the nature of relationships; they're a "give-and-take", even with God. He enables us to bless Him and to edify and enlarge His countenance in JOY when we do.
A Revelatory Truth
There's a section in the marvelous book The Shack ™ which communicates the understanding of how - for the sake of fostering true relationship with us - God will actually "limit" Himself and His "knowing" of our emotions so we can convey our feelings to Him in fresh exchange, as friends. When I read that, I was flabbergasted - arrested by the satisfaction I felt as that truth resonated with my spirit!
THAT'S how God - Who has and IS everything - can be blessed and benefited by His own creation! He wills it so by graciously linking His ability to receive to the lower level of our capacity to give; in much the same manner we lovingly converse with our own little children (on their level) and are blessed. AMAZING!
So BLESS Him!
With that understanding, Saints, I pray you will not hesitate to lift up blessing to the Lord, and don't ever believe it's not your place to do so. On the contrary, we are commanded to bless Him and be of eternal, loving, benefit to His heart "with all that is within" us. Amen! BLESS HIS HOLY NAME!
